Kami Nicole Veltri, MD, is a resident family physician who grew up in sunny south Florida, where she first began her journey to learn Spanish. After graduating from the University of Florida, she lived in Guatemala to solidify her Spanish skills before starting medical school at the George Washington University. She is currently completing her residency in the University of Washington’s Rural Training Track, and some of her clinical interests include: health justice reparations, health care as a human right, gender-affirming care, caring for people who experience incarceration, and integrative medicine. As a resident at CVCH, she believes the opportunity to acquire true full-spectrum training in both a Federally Qualified Health Center and Critical Access Hospital, and in such an amazingly beautiful location, is absolutely unparalleled. Beyond medicine, she tends to carve out time to play with friends outside––skiing slopes, running trails, climbing crags, backpacking in the backcountry, or picnicking at the park.
