Wenatchee & Chelan ValleyThe Wenatchee Valley is located in the heart of North Central Washington, tucked between the snow capped Cascade Mountains and the mighty Columbia River. The cities of Wenatchee, Cashmere and Leavenworth in Chelan County and East Wenatchee, Waterville and Bridgeport in Douglas County are surrounded by lush green orchards of pears, cherries and world famous apples. The diverse geography, four distinct seasons and 300 days of sunshine offer an adventure for everyone. You can hike, bike, or camp among semi–arid flatlands, craggy foothills, and shadowy canyons. The abundant lakes and rivers can provide either wild kayak and raft rides or calm waters for fishing, boating and water sports. In the winter Mission Ridge, Leavenworth Ski Hill, and the surrounding mountainsides provide a wonderland for snow shoeing, snow boarding and all types of skiing. Forty miles to the North, the Lake Chelan Valley is nestled in the North Cascades National Forest and encompasses the communities of Manson, Chelan and Stehekin. The aromatic vineyards supply the burgeoning wine industry with a variety of grapes for making premier wines and surround the areas first class golf courses in crisp green boundary. The pristine glacial fed lake stretches more than 50 miles and is nearly 1500 ft at it deepest, providing an enormous playground for boating, fishing and water sports. The roads extend less than halfway up the lake giving way to evergreen covered mountain sides and snow capped peaks, chalked full of camping, biking, back packing and outdoor sport opportunities.
